
Dimitris Alpanezos is the co-initiator and co-founder of Metron Ariston – Making Responsibility a Trend™, playing a central role in the design and development of Vision by Metron Ariston™, the initiative that brings inclusion and accessibility into the hospitality experience. He holds an M.S. in Marketing and has collaborated since 1993 as an Adjunct Professor of Biology with colleges, universities, and scientific institutions in Greece and abroad. As part of his academic work, he conducted original research for his thesis “Eutrophication in Brackish Mediterranean Ecosystems-NE Greece.” He has also worked as a graduate intern and later as an external consultant and researcher for the Science Museum of Virginia - the Virginia Academy of Sciences, contributing to educational and environmental research programs. He is a member of the Hellenic Association of Bioscientists and has served as a critical reviewer for the Virginia Journal of Science. With more than 25 years of experience in marketing research, he has held senior positions such as Director of Quantitative Research at Centrum Research and Marketing Group Specialist for Southeastern Europe at Research International. He is currently active as an independent marketing auditor across Southeastern Europe. His work in applied methodology includes contributions to the optimization of self-weighted samples based on Neyman Allocation Stratified Sampling (EU Standard BS EN 13850:2002) and the development of the “Fair Share” normalization model for data evaluation and market equity assessment. Within Vision by Metron Ariston™, he co-develops the implementation practices together with Denny Kallivoka, coordinates the pilot phase, oversees the feedback mechanism, and guides the next steps toward broader inclusion. Working alongside a team of specialized scientific advisors, he ensures that both the design and implementation of Vision remain evidence-based, effective, and grounded in real-world practice.
