Edmund opened Nightjar in Shoreditch with his wife Rosie in 2010. Their stated ambition was to recall the old school glamour of pre-prohibition drinking establishments where live music was a key part of a good night out. After the bar rocketed to acclaim, they opened Oriole in 2015, and Swift in partnership with Bobby Hiddleston and Mia Johansson in 2016. All three bars have featured regularly in the World’s 50 Best, as well as achieving commercial success. Edmund and Rosie now own 5 London venues in total, with almost one hundred employees. Edmund is an active champion of partnering with senior employees, and each one of the concepts has key employee shareholders who take ownership - literally and figuratively - of individual concepts and venues across the group. Edmund lives in London with Rosie and their three children.
