San Francisco native Julio Bermejo is Beverage Manager at Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant and one of the world’s most respected tequila authorities. Under his guidance, Tommy’s has been listed among The World’s 50 Best Bars six times — more than any other U.S. bar outside New York. Tommy’s received Tales of the Cocktail’s World’s Best Spirits Selection in 2016, and Julio has been honoured with two lifetime achievement awards: the Helen David Award (2014) and the Industry Icon Award from Drinks International (2017). He holds a degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley.
