Bordiga 1888 is an independent historic Italian distillery nestled in Cuneo, Piedmont, right at the foot of the Alps. Founded in 1888 by Cavalier Pietro Bordiga—a passionate herbalist and connoisseur of both Alpine botanicals and oriental spices—the distillery was born from his original recipe for Vermouth di Torino. More than 130 years later, Bordiga continues to craft exceptional Vermouth, Gin, Amari, Aperitivi, and traditional Alpine liqueurs following time-honored recipes and artisanal methods. Many of the wild botanicals that define our spirits are still hand-picked in the Italian Occitan Alps, where the crisp mountain air meets the Mediterranean climate. Every botanical is processed individually through traditional maceration and distillation, completely avoiding centrifuges, ultrasounds, solvents, or synthetic flavorings. At the heart of our production remains our historic wood-fired copper still—a living testament to our heritage. For Bordiga, tradition is never mere nostalgia: it is the beating foundation from which we continue to create authentic Italian spirits for today’s finest bars.
