Nestled in a quiet and intimate corner of Liverpool’s iconic Albert Dock is Bar Glue. The ethos and focus of Bar Glue is community, inclusivity, casual but engaging service and exceptional drinks. With a minimalistic design and European style of service the bar has gone from strength to strength since opening. Owners Nathan, Mike and Hatt achieved a debut in the UK Top 50 Bars 2025 list for Glue after only two months of being open, climbing to #2 in the 2026 edition. Alongside this, Glue also achieved a Spirited Awards Best New International Cocktail Bar Honouree 2025 accolade for the Europe Region alongside four nominations for the Class Bar Magazine Awards 2025, including a win for Best New Cocktail Bar. Liverpool’s bar scene is often overshadowed by cities such as London, Manchester and Edinburgh but Glue is determined to shift that narrative. Since opening, the team has made waves by hosting masterclasses and takeovers with some of the world’s best bars and bartenders, including Handshake Speakeasy, Sip & Guzzle, Montana, Panda & Sons, Sins of Sal, Bisou Bisou, Lyaness, Millie Tang and Sydney-based collective Sorry Not Sorry, among many others. Glue has also taken its approach on the road, delivering events in Athens, Bangkok, Chicago, Guadalajara, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Macau, Miami, Montreal, Madrid, Nice, New York, Paris, Tokyo and beyond, proudly flying the flag for Liverpool on a global stage. Bar Glue’s goal is always to collaborate, educate and celebrate through working with likeminded industry professionals and bringing their experiences to Liverpool and Glue’s to the local communities of cities that they visit. This is achieved through accessibility rather than exclusivity. Too often, bars, masterclasses, techniques and education can feel overwhelming or closed off. Glue works to break down those barriers through relaxed, welcoming sessions and events that celebrate the bar world instead of keeping it restricted. In both good and uncertain times, it’s always important to Stick Together.
