Petra Dimitrova is the Operational Manager and Managing Partner of Bar Academy Bulgaria, and together with Darko Angeleski she co-founded 5L Speakeasy Bar, Sofia's first speakeasy-style cocktail bar, more than nine years ago. After more than 18 years in the corporate world in marketing, management and organisational strategy, she turned to entrepreneurship in 2015 to build long-term hospitality businesses. She curated the programme of the first Sofia Bar Show in 2020 and this year curated Liquid Market Sofia, the city's cocktail festival. She also writes as a guest author for Bacchus, leads bar operations for large events with EXE Events, and heads the Bar Management programme at Bar Academy Bulgaria. Her philosophy is that less is more: quality comes from thoughtful choices, disciplined execution and respect for people, product and process, all in service of a stronger, more sustainable bar community.
