Thanos Prunarus has been shaping the world of hospitality and mixology as a bartender and entrepreneur since 1999, earning international recognition as one of the most influential figures in the global rum and cocktail industry. Throughout his career he has repeatedly been featured among the World's 100 Most Influential People in the Bar Industry. He is the founder and owner of Baba Au Rum, one of Athens' most celebrated cocktail destinations and a bar that has consistently appeared on The World's 50 Best Bars list since 2013. A respected authority in the international rum and cocktail community, Thanos travels extensively to explore rum cultures, visit distilleries, take part in leading bar festivals and judge some of the world's most prestigious cocktail competitions, and has guest bartended in nearly 50 countries. Beyond the bar, he is co-organiser of the annual Athens Rum & Whisky Festival and publisher of Fine Drinking, an international magazine dedicated to cocktails, spirits and travel. He is also the founder of In Love Again, an Athens-based concept that combines specialty coffee with cocktail-inspired pastries.
